Those who are passionate about animal welfare now have the unique opportunity to make a difference in Mexico.

Based in the bustling city of Guadalajara, this government owned animal rehabilitation and release centre works to care, treat and free captured or injured wild animals. These include birds of prey, such as buzzards and hawks, parrots and also mammals such as racoons. Volunteers may also have the chance to work with reptiles like crocodiles and turtles, helping them to be treated until they are well enough to be released into the wild or into zoos and animal parks.

While working in this centre, volunteers will be involved with cleaning and maintaining enclosures, preparing food for the animals, assisting local vets with their treatment of the animals and in the training of animals to prepare them for life in the wild. You may even have the chance to assist with the release of animals into the wild - a beautiful and very rewarding sight for any animal lover.

If you have a deep passion and interest in the welfare of wildlife, and would like to make a difference, then you are welcome to apply for this position.
