Costa Rica is a country where there is extensive biodiversity. It attracts eco-tourists from all over the world. Barra Honda National Park is located just two hours away from the Costa Rican city of Liberia, and is home to some of the most unique opportunities for those who are interested in ecology or wildlife conservation.

Set in a tropical environment with 42 underground caves, Barra Honda is the perfect location for any wildlife enthusiast. Volunteers can get involved with cave explorations and can track different species of bat. They will also play a large role in the identification of these bats and can help with scientific surveys that are taking place at the time.

Volunteers at Barra Honda can also get involved with other environmental activities as well, including reforestation projects and environmental education of local people.

Volunteers live together in on site accommodation, and can travel to local towns at the weekends.

If you are passionate about conservation, and want to try something completely different, then apply for this position and be sure to have the time of your life!
